Your dates belong to you.
Daymark is designed without an account, advertising identifier or social profile. Most data stays on your devices or in your private iCloud database.

Controller
Daymark is operated by Joao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti, an independent developer based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and he is the data controller for the personal data described here. Send questions and rights requests to daymark@thesmios.com.
On your device
Personal countdowns stay private.
Titles, dates, times, notes, categories, themes, reminder settings and photos are stored with SwiftData on your device. Daymark can also create local representations of active marks for widgets, notifications, Spotlight and App Intents. Those system surfaces use only the details needed to display or act on a mark. The Apple Watch receives a no-photo snapshot for its Daymark views.
When iCloud is available on your device, Apple stores Daymark records in the signed-in Apple Account’s private CloudKit database. The developer does not operate a server that receives those countdown records. Daymark also uses an on-device app-group snapshot so widgets can refresh; it may remain visible briefly while iOS refreshes a widget after you change or remove a mark.
Contact birthdays and calendar events are shown through Apple’s permission-controlled pickers. The app imports only the items you choose. It does not upload your address book or calendar.
Why and how long
Only what is needed to provide Daymark.
We use mark content to provide Daymark’s features on your Apple devices. Where data protection law applies, the relevant legal basis may be performance of our contract with you, consent for optional system permissions you choose to grant, our legitimate interests in operating, securing and supporting Daymark, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Mark content remains on your device and, when available, in your private iCloud database until you delete it. Support and feedback correspondence is retained only for as long as needed to respond, maintain appropriate support records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.
Your control
Export or remove your marks.
You can export your marks as Daymark JSON or a calendar file. You can also archive or delete individual marks. Delete all data in Settings removes Daymark’s primary marks, memories, categories, reminders, widget and Watch snapshots, Spotlight entries, Live Activities and local diagnostic reports from the app’s local storage. When private iCloud storage is available, it schedules deletion changes to sync across your devices.
Widget snapshots and Apple system representations can remain briefly until their next refresh. Private CloudKit data is controlled through your Apple account and devices. Deleting the app from one device may not erase records already stored in iCloud or on another signed-in device.
When you choose Share event card, Daymark creates the card on your device. It includes the mark’s title, date and live countdown. A background photo is included only when you keep that option enabled. Notes, planning details, links and reminders are not included. The app or service you select to receive the card handles it under its own privacy policy.
Analytics and purchases
No behavioral analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking.
Daymark does not include a behavioral analytics SDK, advertising SDK, session replay or cross-app tracking. The public support and policy pages do not use behavioral analytics. Apple may make crash and diagnostic information available under your device analytics choices. Daymark keeps up to ten MetricKit reports locally for troubleshooting and does not upload them automatically.
Apple processes App Store purchases through StoreKit. Daymark receives transaction and entitlement state from Apple to unlock countdown capacity and restore purchases; we do not receive your payment-card details. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, use IDFA, sell data or run adverts.
Service providers
Processors are kept to the product’s needs.
Apple provides iCloud, notification, ActivityKit and App Store services. Their infrastructure may process technical request data such as IP addresses for delivery, security and abuse prevention.
Where a provider moves data outside Israel or the EEA, it relies on its own lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
When you contact us
Support starts with what you choose to send.
If you email support or privacy, we receive your email address and the message, screenshots or diagnostic details you choose to include. We use that information to answer the request, investigate the reported problem and meet applicable legal obligations. Avoid sending private countdown titles, notes or booking links unless they are essential to the issue.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion and objection.
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object to applicable processing, or obtain portable data. Daymark has no account, so we may not hold operator-accessible content that can be linked back to you. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to the supervisory authority where you live.
Children and changes
A general-audience utility.
Daymark is rated 4+ and is not directed at children for data collection. Avoid placing sensitive information in event titles or notes. Material policy changes will be dated here and, when appropriate, explained in the app before they take effect.
